Challenge:
Geo is an open source and non-profit social media site, for artists, activists, and organizations working to improve the communities where we live. Their original application was a minimum viable product that helped establish the platform, but several areas were preventing the site from seeing better adoption. Privacy concerns, the content editing interface, and messaging features were all areas that needed to be addressed.
Solution:
Interviews with users surfaced pain points and areas where this app needed improvement. Discovery on this project informed the designs process, which translated into wireframes, journey maps and prototypes that were tested and refined before final recommendations were presented.
Result:
Geo is now more complete, reliable, and secure. User adoption has increased and new features are resonating well with users. We continue to help gather data and provide design services for this online community.
